Before there was a mission statement, there was a man. Army Sgt. Edmond L. Randle Jr. was a bandsman, a brother, and a man who gave everything he had every time he was called. He chose the military to pay for his education, and on January 17, 2004, he gave the last full measure of devotion.
Soulever® exists because of a vow: we lift — financially, intentionally, and permanently — so that no one faces the choice Edmond had to make. Edmond is the tree. Everything that grows from this foundation is a branch connected to the same root, standing because he stood first.
To inspire students to reach their dreams and desires for higher education with the power and influence of music.
We aim to provide resources and support for families in need, so their children can thrive academically and artistically without financial barriers and focus on being productive students.
Elevating youth to reach their dreams through music.
These principles govern how Soulever shows up for our students and families.
The declaration this foundation was built on is simple: Sgt. Edmond L. Randle Jr. will not have died in vain. This is the standard every decision and every scholarship must be held to.
We honor the sacrifice behind every dollar by ensuring that your contributions are applied directly and entirely to the students and programs we serve. We believe that when you invest in Soulever, you are investing in a human being's future, and we protect that investment with absolute focus.
