How it works, who qualifies, and what it provides.
Rocket to Rattler is not a competitive, one-winner scholarship. It's an automatic-qualification model: every student who satisfies the approved requirements may qualify, subject to verification and available funding. No ranking. No ballot. No popularity contest.
Year One means a student's first year as a member of the FAMU Marching Band. It does not depend on college classification, credits already earned, age, or dual-enrollment credits. First patch = Year One. Registering in Year One does not, by itself, create an award. The scholarship activates only after a student completes their first Marching Band season, participates in the spring Wind Band, and returns and continues into Year Two, verified every step of the way.
All funding is subject to available Foundation funds and official authorization.
For an otherwise-eligible Rocket to Rattler student preparing to continue into Year Two, Soulever may look back up to one academic year and review certain eligible outstanding University tuition or fee balances from Year One, when that balance would otherwise interfere with continued enrollment, after verifying the student, the balance, program requirements, and available Foundation funding.
