Thinking about becoming a Rattler?
Start Here
For a current Miami Central student who is thinking about FAMU.
Still a Miami Central student and considering FAMU? Good. This page is for you. It's informational only. It is not scholarship registration, it does not qualify you for anything yet, and it is not a funding commitment.
The Rocket to Rattler pathway is the road Miami Central Band Program students have traveled to FAMU for more than half a century. Here's how it works, and where you fit right now:
- You don't need to register yet. Registration is for students already at FAMU. Pre-registration is for students who've already been accepted to FAMU. You're not there yet, and that's fine.
- Right now, your job is to keep building your Miami Central story, staying in the Band Program, participating in Marching and Wind Band, and working toward the Solo & Ensemble requirement that applies to your graduating class.
- The next real milestone is FAMU acceptance. The moment you're admitted to FAMU, the Pre-Register pathway opens up to you, and Soulever can start walking with you before you even step on campus.
- Scholarship qualification still depends on meeting the full Rocket to Rattler requirements and going through verification once you're enrolled and marching. Nothing here guarantees FAMU admission, scholarship eligibility, or future funding.
Keep doing the work at Miami Central. When you're accepted to FAMU, come back and pre-register. That's the next step on the road.
